Optional purchase of customer credits

Using customer credits is an interesting and effective tool for increasing the flexibility of the entire booking process. Customers can purchase a suitable credit package online and then immediately use those credits on their own.

We have introduced a new option for defining a purchase package, allowing customers to choose how many credits they want to buy. This is especially useful when you offer services with different prices and the customer wants to purchase only a specific number of credits to pay for a booking using their credits.

New events for custom messages

Would you like to communicate with your customers even more effectively and proactively? We’ve added several new custom message options that are perfect for this purpose.

You can now schedule custom messages linked to customer birthdays or name days. These messages can also include an automatically generated voucher code, which the customer can redeem as a gift.

In a similar motivational way — again optionally combined with a voucher code as a gift — you can use the event End of reserved appointment (ignored if a newer customer reservation exists). This event allows you to send a custom message to a customer when some time has passed since their last reservation and they haven’t made a new one yet. It’s ideal if you want to encourage repeat bookings or simply remind customers to book again (typically for regularly provided services such as beauty salons, vehicle inspection stations, or training courses).
 

Online chat on Messenger and WhatsApp

If you would like to allow your customers to contact you quickly via chat redirected to Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp, it is now very easy. In Settings → Booking Page → Content, a new option is available to set up special links that display icons in the footer of the booking page. After clicking them, the visitor is redirected to a direct chat with your Facebook Page or WhatsApp profile.

TRMNL Display Support

Do you want to display information about who’s next in the waiting area, which squash court is currently in use, or whether a meeting room is available – efficiently and in a modern way?

You can now connect your reservation system with the TRMNL display – an e-ink platform that clearly shows current reservations directly on site. The device does not require a permanent power connection, making it easy to place wherever this information is needed.

Customer labels Improvements

Did you know that you can assign labels to individual customers? These labels can then play a role in conditional pricing, access to resources, exports, and more.

A new feature now allows automatic label assignment based on the source used for the reservation. In the advanced settings of a Place, Service, or Employee, you can set a specific label that will be automatically assigned when a customer creates a reservation. This automation is especially useful for various marketing activities, allowing you to easily distinguish customers who have used a specific service offer and continue working with them accordingly.

Calendars for better overview

Do you have many resources and want to navigate appointments and reservations more easily? In the events or reservations calendar, you can create and use custom calendars that work as a predefined filter for Resources, Places, Services, or Employees. These calendars can then be switched very easily, giving you a quick way to change your view of events or reservations in the calendar.

These same calendars can also be used within the navigation guidepost on the reservation page (Settings – Reservation Page – Basic Settings – Guidepost Content), which makes it very simple to filter the offer for customers based on a comprehensive selection of resources.

File upload during registration

You probably already know that in the system you can activate a data storage feature for saving specific files linked to reservations or customers. A new option now makes it possible to obtain such files directly from customers during their registration process. The registration form can be extended with an additional field type that allows file uploads. You can find the option to add such a field to the registration form in Customers – More... – Custom Data Fields.

This can be useful, for example, in situations where you need to keep a customer’s photo, some type of confirmation, or other kinds of data required for providing services.

Automation for coupon codes

Would you like to offer your customers a discount code for their next booking after they’ve successfully used your services? Would you like to give newly registered customers a voucher for their first booking for free? Such marketing incentives are often a very effective tool for attracting loyal and returning clients.

Our system can now help you with this efficiently. As part of the setup for custom email messages (triggered by specific events related to reservations or registrations), you can include a uniquely generated coupon code in the email content, which the customer can then use. The setup is very simple and makes full use of the coupons you have already configured and prepared in the system. The coupon code is attached during the configuration of the specific custom message (Settings – Custom Messages).

As part of the automation, a new unique code for the given coupon is generated and included in the sent custom message. The customer then receives a coupon (their own unique code) that can be used exactly according to the defined parameters and options (value, validity, etc.).

Improved support for the GMAIL.COM sender address

Do you use your gmail.com address as the sender of emails from the system? You now have the option to connect the booking system (Settings - General Settings - Email) directly to your Gmail account.

This integration ensures that emails will be sent directly through your Gmail account, which provides proper authorization for these messages. As a result, the deliverability and authentication of system emails will be significantly improved, thanks to valid SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configurations.

Revolut and PayPal Payment Gateways

Reservations rating and review

Obtaining feedback from customers is undoubtedly an important aspect of any business. As part of communicating with customers, it is therefore very appropriate to think about the possibility of obtaining such feedback - and the reenio system can now help you with this.

Using the functionality called Review forms, it is possible to send customers the custom messages, which include the option to rate a completed reservation using stars. At the same time, it is also possible to define other specific questions and form elements that the customer can answer and thus provide valuable feedback. You can learn how to create a rating and provide it to customers using your own message in the documentation.

New types of events offer presentation

Displaying the offer of events for reservations is one of the key moments when reaching your customers. That's why we are now introducing 2 new types of date display on the reservation page.

The first of these is the display within individual days, in the form of a calendar or as a sequence of events on a given day. The second is the innovated events list display, which is suitable for a smaller number of one-off events or dates of the Coupon type.

Both of these new views can now also display the price of a given event, available capacity, hide unavailable events or take over the color scheme of the event in the administration.

Try out which view and in which settings you will find suitable! Just switch the display type in the administration (the new views are the first two in the settings menu). The same data is used for the presentation, so if you don't like the new view, you can easily return or switch to any other.

New reservation page footer

We have improved the footer of the booking page (for the "Full width" template) so that it is now possible to choose between a dark and light version. The layout of the information has also been adjusted and it is now possible (for both templates) to display links to your social networks.

You can find the footer style settings in the administration in Settings - Reservation page - Basic settings. You can set links for social networks in Settings - Reservation page - Content.

The light version of the footer now allows you to better present your brand, especially if you use a colored logo. Try it yourself which version suits your booking page better and, if necessary, upload a new logo image (ideally with a transparent background and in sufficient quality).

Mobile app update

We have continuously updated our mobile application, which is now available in a new version for the Android and iOS platforms. This new version also provides an overview calendar with existing reservations and a list of customers. You can therefore search for reservations taking place on a given day and including customer details directly in the application, even without knowing the specific reservation code. We believe that this functionality will once again make your check-in and work with the reenio system easier.

Recurring reservations

Loyal customers often require the option of making a regular recurring reservation, where they would be comfortable with creating reservations, for example, for every Wednesday at 5:00 PM for the next 2 months in advance, within a simple procedure. Now you can also offer them this functionality in our reservation system.

Within the event settings (availability of the feature may vary for different types of events), it is now possible to define a so-called Recurrent event group. This clearly defines which events should be included in the recurring reservation option. The customer can then also easily adjust the recurrence of their reservations.

The result is a set of individual reservations created, which are independent in themselves, but created within a single reservation process. You can find out how to set up a recurrence and how the reservation process with the creation of recurrences works in the documentation.

Support of Unifi Access

Smart locks that allow for automation of customer access within reservations are a relatively popular feature. Igloohome or Nuki locks are a solution that is more suitable for simple use. In the case of corporate premises, it is more appropriate to use a complex access system with professional settings and management options. And such a system is the Unifi ecosystem from Ubiquiti, specifically Unifi Access, which can now be connected within the REENIO Connect functionality.

If you book meeting rooms, shared offices or various types of spaces (sports facilities, saunas, etc.) and have or are considering using the Unifi Access system, then the ability to integrate with the reservation system should be one of the key requirements. Individual reservations create a visitor profile, which is assigned certain permissions for access using a PIN within the access system infrastructure. It is even possible to set that if the customer uses their PIN to access, the reservation in the reservation system will also be automatically processed.

Google Pay and Apple Wallet for coupons

You surely know that the system supports the option for customers to add their ticket or QR code to Google or Apple Wallet (Settings / Reservation page / Advanced settings). It is now possible to store vouchers in these customer wallets.

This is especially effective if you use a new type of coupon with "Gradually draweble amount" for your customers. In this case, the customer not only stores the QR code of the coupon in the wallet, but also sees the current value that is still left on the coupon.

New type of coupons

Gift copouns can be used in a variety of ways to suit your particular business model. We have now added another type of coupon called "Gradually drawable amount". This is a coupon type that provides an e-wallet based operation. The coupon has a value and its application when a booking is made deducts the cost of the reservation (or part of it) from its value in stages. Thus, a coupon can be used multiple times until its value is completely exhausted. Another new type is the "Without discount" coupon. This has no discount or coupon value set. It is ideal for use in cases where the booking needs to be conditional on entering a coupon code (e.g. a limited group of customers), but at the same time it is not a discount.

All vouchers that the customer receives from the system can now be saved in Apple Pay or Google Pay apps. The customer can thus have a quick overview of their valid coupons, remaining value, etc.

Comgate payment terminal support

We bring you a new feature that can once again make your business very efficient. If you want or need to accept payments from your customers, it is already a matter of course that our system offers the possibility of using several online payment gateways as well as simple payment terminals. The system can now be connected to professional physical payment terminals that are commonly used in the most demanding operations and services. Specifically, these are Comgate payment terminals. The combination of a payment gateway and a Comgate terminal makes it very easy to use the full potential of modern payment methods.

Nuki smart locks

The Nuki brand is another major player in smart locks. It is now possible to link the reservation system to these locks and dynamically generate access codes for customer reservations. Nuki's solution is based on the principle that the lock is connected online to the internet and the system is thus able to communicate with the lock directly, allowing for more flexible setup and invalidation of the code when a reservation is cancelled. This solution is particularly suitable for shared offices, meeting rooms, etc. Please refer to the documentation for more information.

Deposit payment for reservation

In some situations, it is not entirely efficient to require full payment online at the time of booking. For example, if the exact price is not known at the time of booking or if the cancellation policy only allows for a partial fee. In these cases, it is now possible to require only a partial payment, called a deposit.

When specifying the price within the event, it is possible to set whether payment of the full price or only a partial deposit is required. In the case of an advance payment, it is then easy to specify whether it is a fixed amount or a percentage of the calculated price. Everything then works in exactly the same way as for online payment of the entire reservation, with the only difference that the balance must be paid afterwards. For more information on the option to require only deposits when paying online, please refer to the documentation.

Payment gateway Comgate

We have been asked quite often whether we support the Comgate payment gateway. So, as of today, Comgate is already among the supported payment gateways.

The Comgate payment gateway offers an interesting fee model that is effective even for businesses with relatively small monthly turnover. It goes without saying that this payment gateway offers a range of payment methods, including Apple Pay, Google Pay and deferred payments.

If there is interest in this payment gateway, we plan to consider integrating Comgate payment terminals as well - let us know if supporting these payment terminals would be of interest to you.

Custom forms for coupons

We have a new feature that will make it easier for you to communicate with your customers if you sell coupons online. Similar to the custom forms for reservations, it is now possible to create custom forms for coupons as well. This way you can very easily get the additional information you need to subsequently redeem the coupon code, the mandatory check mark to read the terms and conditions or perhaps a dedication written on the coupon.

The information obtained in this way can be found in the details of the specific coupon code. You can also use this information in the design of the coupon using a placeholder string. Last but not least, if the coupon has a custom form set up, this form can also be filled in when you create the coupon code manually in the administration.

Improved appearance of coupon sales

As part of managing and editing gift vouchers, you can divide the offer of vouchers into different groups and, above all, activate the display including previews of individual vouchers. You can find more about the issue of gift vouchers and their online sale in the documentation.

Igloohome smart locks integration

Do you use reservations to rent sports venues, offices or accommodation? Now you can link your bookings to Igloohome smart locks to automate PIN access for your customers. The advantage of these smart locks is that they don't require online internet connectivity, yet thanks to algoPIN technology it is possible to provide access codes according to the necessary restrictions. Days off for places, services and employees

For some time now, it has been possible to use the so-called Days off (Resources - Days off / holidays) in the booking system. These can be effectively used whenever it is necessary to limit the offer for reserving without having to adjust individual events. It is even possible to set a specific time, so that the days off can be "used" for example to define a lunch break.

Now it is possible to define days off not only for the whole system, i.e. the whole range of events, but also for a specific location, employee or service. So if you have only one branch closed, you can set days off for this one specific place.

HTTPS for all booking sites

If you are running a booking site on your own domain as part of a PREMIUM subscription, we have great news for you!

It is now no longer necessary to secure and supply an SSL certificate to guarantee secure communication on your own domain. We now automatically provide HTTPS security for all booking pages, even on your own addresses/domains. 

If you have supplied us with an SSL certificate in the past and it is still valid, there is no need to renew it when it expires. We will automatically deploy the generated certificate! This saves you not only the financial cost of purchasing certificates, but also the complications of securing or forwarding them.

Reserve seats on the map at any time

If you're booking tables in a restaurant, an office or shared workspace, or even a parking space, you've probably run into a problem with our system. When using the event type "Seat reservations", you can draw a map of the seats to be reserved, but it is no longer possible to reserve individual seats on the map at different times.

This is no longer valid! It is now possible to switch this type of event to the so-called custom reservation time mode. You can also set the time parameters of the reservation for the term, similar to the Interval term. As a result, the customer does not only choose the individual locations on the map, but also the FROM and TO time, which means that the location is only booked for this limited time and is available again at other times. In case the selected seats are not available even partially, the system displays this information and the customer can choose another seat or change the reservation time.

Guidepost in new version

The guidepost is an important element that influences the clarity of the offer on the reservation page. We have significantly improved the editing and setting options of the guidepost in the administration (Settings - Reservation page), so that it is more effective in customer navigation.

The main new feature is that the guidepost is now multi-level. By simply dragging and dropping individual elements it is possible to create a more complex nested structure. The customer then selects individual resources one by one and only according to this selection specific events will be displayed. For example, the customer must first select the service and in the next step the employee who will provide it.

A new important feature is the possibility of adding additional elements. A guidepost item can also be a resource itself, an external link or a folder for merging resources together. It is also possible to set a background image for each of them.

More custom messages possibilities

Effective communication with the customer is an important element of the entire booking process. The function called Custom Messages can be used when it is appropriate to send various messages and information that are not automatically provided by the system.

Custom messages have been available in the system for some time, however, we are gradually adding new events or options for creating message content. So today you can send messages, and not only to customers, in a wide range of situations (e.g. coupon purchase, transfer payment, credit purchase, new customer registration). The message text itself does not have to be simple text, but can contain specific information about the booking or the customer.

Explore the current possibilities of custom messages and evaluate how they could make the use of the booking system even more efficient. This functionality can be found in the Settings - Custom Messages menu and is also mentioned in the documentation.

New seats map editor

If you are using the Seats reservation type, you will be interested in the new version of the "seat map" editor. It now allows you to reserve not only tables or chairs, but also for example entire rooms or parking spaces. At the same time, it adds a number of additional objects that you can place on the map to refine the information about what and where the customer is reserved. Reservations of offices, shared workplaces or tables at a ball is now even easier and more user friendly. For more information about the map editor, see documentation.

Events available for some customers only

Do you need to restrict a certain range of events or resources to a specific group of customers? Do you have VIP customers and want to offer specific services to them? You can now do this very easily. Thanks to the new feature of limiting access via labels at the Service, Location or Employee level. When editing these resources, it is now possible to select specific labels (these are assigned to customersas well) that determine which customers can have access to events with a given resources. The assumption is that the customer is sign in with their username and password, and it allows offer such limited events/resources. Customers not signed in or without corresponding labels will not see the these events at all.

Price variations for individual seats

If you are using event type that allows reservations for specific seats, tables, etc., then you may be missing more flexibility in setting the price. Now, in addition to assigning a price category for a specific seat on the map, you can also assign other price options.

This is especially useful when you need to differentiate price not only by where the customer is sitting, but also by who they are. Typically, this makes it very easy to set different ticket prices for a child and an adult visitor.

Online purchase of coupons

You already know that it is possible to use gift coupons to offer customers a discount when making a reservation. Now it is able to offer these coupons for online purchase directly on your reservation page. This enables quick and easy way for customers to purchase coupons and then use them for specific reservation. For more information check the documentation.

New way of visualization for customer

The way in which events offer is displayed to customers is a very important factor in the efficiency of the reservation process. Because the reenio system is universal, different display methods may be ideal in different situations and business types. That's why we are introducing a new option to display the events offer. This new approach enables a simplified display and selection of only the currently available datetimes (including highlighting the days which are actually available). Try out this new look and check if it's the most ideal for your type of business.

Nearest available datetime

As part of the updates, we brought a long-awaited feature! In case you have a lot of events and reservations, and it happens that the event is not available on that day, it was difficult for customers to search an available datetime in the future. With the new feature, the reservation page can now guide them to the nearest available datetime by itself. If there is no available event on the selected day (related to the resources), then the system will point this out and offer a one-click way to the first available datetime. We hope this feature will make the reservations easier for your customers!
This feature is automatically enabled for all reservation sites.

Data storage

Need to store some documents, photos or videos related to your customers? Now you can use the storage directly in our system. With this storage, you can manage documents directly in the details of each customer and have immediate access to the customer's photo, their documentation, etc. It is even possible to have customers upload documents directly at the time of booking. Getting a signed consents right at the time of reservation is now no problem. The storage is a separate service, which is charged via credits according to the selected package of the required storage size.

New options for price variants

Online payments are an increasingly used feature, but this must also be matched by a wide range of options for calculating the specific price of a reservation. For this reason, we have now added the ability to define price options for individual categories in the seat map. As a result, it is now possible to offer a discounted price for e.g. child spectators of a theatre performance. 

The second new feature is also related to price variants, namely it is now possible to define the group size. This makes it possible to define a typical family admission price, where one defined price results in e.g. 4 occupied slots within one reservation. You can thus offer your customers discounted prices while ensuring a standard capacity count for the event.

Improved calendar views

If you have a lot of events or reservations, it is often a problem to display them clearly in the calendars. One option is to use filtering and only show what you need. A new feature is the change of the calendar layout, where you now have the choice of both horizontal and vertical timeline views. You can easily switch the calendar as needed using the icon in the top right corner of the calendar (next to the calendar settings icon).

Payment terminal inside phone GP Tom

Our reservation system now supports the acceptance of payments using the GP Tom payment terminal. And it is not just an ordinary terminal, it is a payment terminal directly in your mobile phone.

All you have to do is to use any mobile phone with the appropriate parameters (Android 8+, NFC) and installed the GP Tom and Reenio applications. When processing reservations using the QR code, you can directly start the payment process for unpaid reservations. All you need is one mobile phone.

Cashdesk payment

We now bring the required cashdesk payment function. Due to the very limited personal contacts with customers, you will probably not use this now. At least you have the opportunity to set up and try this new feature.

The cashdesk function allows you to mark a reservation as paid and at the same time it provides the option of creating an accounting document. The support of EET communication is also available. Together with the new options for printing documents and booking confirmations, you can easily ensure, for example, the complete sale of tickets, not only on-line, but also at the office or directly at the event.

Print tickets from administration

Although the main task of the system is to provide online reservations, sometimes it may be useful to book a customer in person. In that case, it is advisable to print the reservation code, ticket or proof of payment directly.

We have added a bar with icons to the reservation detail, which allows quick access to selected functions. One of these functions is printing. Click on the printer icon, and you can specify what you want to print and in what format. Printing is possible not only in A4 format, but also in the format of a receipt in 80 or 58 mm paper size. Of course, it is ideal to use the POS/receipt printer for this purposes (printing is based on PDF).

Sign in customers using FB, Google, etc.

Do you offer your customers the option of registration and login? There is often a problem with customers remembering their login details, having to reset their password, calling you, etc. One of the most common solutions today is to use general user accounts from social networks or external systems. Customers can easily log in using their Facebook or Google account or using a MyID account. The system now also supports connection to other, usually corporate accounts within organizations. How to set up and activate the option of this alternative login approach can be found in the documentation at manual.reenio.com.

Apple Pay with GoPay gateway

The GoPay payment gateway has currently added a new payment method, Apple Pay. For owners of "apple" devices, this is a standard option for fast, secure and convenient payments. If you use a GoPay payment gateway, all you have to do is activate this payment method in the GoPay administration and your customers with Apple devices can start paying for their reservations immediately. 

Custom form fields related to customers

We've added the ability to define custom data items for customer records. You can manage the necessary data related to individual clients directly in the system.

In addition, if your customers have an account (they are registered), they can edit this information within their profile by themselfs. You can even easily specify which form fields are required and which should be displayed when the customer make a registration on the website!

New cookies bar

We not only constantly develop the reservation system, but we also adapt it to legislative requirements. It is now possible to let customers display the extended cookie bar. This includes not only consent to the use of cookies, but also the possibility of settings. You can set a new cookie bar in Settings - Reservation page - Analytics - Cookies.

Custom design of vouchers and tickets

We know that not everyone is comfortable with the default appearance for booking confirmations or vouchers in PDF format. We added a new feature to design the location of individual elements (price, name of the event, QR code, image, etc.) for vouchers and booking confirmations, resp. tickets.

You can find the voucher layout design in the Coupons - Coupon design menu. An editor that allows you to change the design of a booking confirmation is located inside Event edit form, Edit event - Advanced settings - Management of designs.

This new feature provides an easy way to bring "tickets" or vouchers closer to specific visual needs, including possible professional printing (without margins).

Customer authentication via SMS

From time to time you ask us how to avoid unvalid or fake reservations. If you require payment using the payment gateway, the situation is simple. Similarly, the solution is easy when you enable reservations only for registered customers, where you can easily determine who can make reservations and who can not. In the case of reservations without registration and without mandatory payment, the situation is much more complicated. The reservation system now offers the option of verifying the reservation using an SMS code. The customers enters the phone number and before confirming the reservation they will receive a unique verification code. Without entering it, it is not possible to complete the reservation. Thanks to this you can 100% verify not only the validity of the mobile phone number, but also that the number belongs to the person who is really interested in the reservation. For settings and more information, see Settings - Reservation page - Reservation - Require phone number verification.

Improvements of custom messaging

Custom messages have been available in the reservation system for some time. We have now significantly improved their capabilities, not only with another communication channel - you can now send e-mails directly, i.e. without a connection to SmartEmailing, but also with new events. A very asked function was, for example, the possibility to send a notice before the automatic cancellation of the reservation in case of non-payment. This is now very easy to apply with custom messages and this new event. You can find out more about custom messages on the manual page and in the system administration (Settings - Custom messages).

Payment terminal SumUp Air

Do you need to accept payment for reservations via debit/credit cards? The booking system can now integrate the Sum Up Air payment terminal. Payment for the reservation can be initiated directly from the administration interface or during the check-in process in the mobile application. You can easily receive payment directly from the customer and everything is automatically logged by the system. You can read how it works in the manual.
