The reenio reservation system can communicate with the SumUp Air payment terminal. This allows you to receive payments from your customers not only on-line but also in person. The customer can pay at any time by credit card, eg at the reception or even at the moment of check-in using his QR code. You can easily accept various payment cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, in cooperation with the payment terminal and reenio.
You can find the activation of payment support via payment terminals in the reservation system administration. You can also independently enable or disable the use of SumUp or GP Tom payments throughout the system.
Settings - Payments, credits and VAT - Payment terminal
Therefore, if you have an active connection with a given type of payment terminal in the reenio system, you only need to subsequently activate support for a specific terminal (SumUp, GP Tom) in the check-in application. The application automatically connects to the terminal application and allows you to receive payments for specific reservations. Thanks to this, you can have the customer pay directly at check-in. You can also call the payment directly from the reenio system administration environment (you need to have this mobile device within reach to make the payment).
The reenio reservation system provides technical integration of the SumUp payment system. To use a payment terminal, you must have a contractual relationship between you and the payment channel provider reenio does not process payments on its own behalf! The use of a payment terminal is subject to a volume charge in the system called credits, more information can be found in the system administration.
After successful payment via the application and the terminal, the specific reservation is marked as paid and the customer can automatically obtain a document with the payment information via the e-mail that he/she submitted at the time of booking. The entire payment process behaves exactly the same way it would with a on-line payment gateway , ie it is possible to return the payment, the customer is automatically sent a PDF document with a confirmation of payment, etc.
Making payments via terminal
If payments using one of the terminal systems are active, it is possible to pay outstanding reservations via the terminal in two ways. In both cases, however, it is necessary to have a mobile phone on which our application for processing reservations is functional (and logged in), as well as the SumUp application with a paired terminal or the GP Tom application. Of course, the mobile device must also have access to the Internet and payments via SumUp or GP Tom.
This method of payment requires a mobile device with both functional and configured applications (reenio application for check-in, payment application of the selected payment system), internet access.
Payment from administration
If you view the details of any reservation in the administration, you can see whether it is paid or not. If it is not paid, you can set the reservation as paid directly (subject to authorization) without making a system payment. Such a setting does not in any way create a request for payment and is only indicative. You can also pay for this reservation with customer credits. Another option is to start the payment process via the SumUp or GP Tom payment terminal, in this case not only the reservation is marked as paid, but also the payment is created as such.
Just click on the "Pay with SumUp" button in the reservation details, resp. "Pay with GP Tom" At this point, a data request is sent to the mobile device (with the check-in application) to open the payment application. You can then make a payment according to the instructions in the application. The application automatically has information about the customer and it is very easy to have a payment confirmation sent directly from the payment application, as well as to record payments via the payment terminal system. After successful processing of the payment, the reservation is marked as paid and you can find a record of the payment in the administration in the overview of online payments.
Payment at check-in
Similarly, it is possible to receive payments from customers at the time of their check-in, eg at the reception or at the entrance to the event. The customer comes to the event with his ticket (QR code), when this code is read by the check-in application and evaluated its validity. The staff can immediately see that the reservation is valid but has not yet been paid. In that case, just click directly on the reservation detail in the mobile application on the button "Pay with SumUp" or. "Pay with GP Tom" The application will automatically open the payment application with preset data and you will follow the instructions of the payment application and the terminal. After successful payment, the reservation is marked as paid and the process is the same as on-line payments.
To use the "Mobile Terminal", it is first necessary to have a contract with the provider of this payment channel and access data to the merchant account. To ensure this step, you can use our quick inquiry form . Within your merchant account, you then manage the payment instrument and, above all, use the GP Tom mobile application.
From the point of view of the system's reservation system, the next step is only to enable GP Tom support in the system administration and in the check-in application. You can then implement the payment process on the same mobile device on which you have the GP Tom application installed and set up and at the same time the reenio check-in application.
You can find the GP Tom payment application on Google Play, as well as the GP Tom PIN.
First of all, you need to have a SumUp account in order to properly receive payments via a payment terminal. Within this account you then perform all the administration and settings regarding received payments, billing, identity verification, etc. It is also important to have purchased and activated the SumUp Air payment terminal itself, which you can easily obtain through administration of your SumUp account. Learn more about how to work with your terminal and SumUp account support page.Terminal device type other than SumUp Air is not supported!
From the system reservation point of view, the next step is to link the system to your SumUp account. You can do this in the payment terminal settings, where you only need to log in with your login information to your SumUp account.
You can then find the payment application at (Apple App Store or Google Play).
