Multiple days

A multiple days type allows to book one or more consecutive days. By setting multi-day events with different parameters for different days (within the recurrence setting) you can specify, for example, different prices for using the services. The system can automatically combine a range of events that follow and use the same resources.

Accommodation, ...

Accommodation services are a typical example of this type of reservation. To give you an idea, we have a hotel that has different room types and reservations are always made for the entire room. In this case the price per night is charged, which must be taken into account when setting a specific date. Here you will find an item that allows you to define how the total booking price will be calculated. To be charged per night, the minimum booking time must be 2 days. In the settings you can also take into account the actual operation of the accommodation, when the accommodation starts at 14:00 and until 10:00 guests must vacate the room. The system automatically connects events that follow and use the same resources - thanks to this you can set for example different prices for accommodation at the weekend. Information for a specific reservation is always based on the date of the first booking day!

The flexibility of the settings has its rules that must be followed in order for the deadlines to be linked correctly. The reason for the need to link several terms is most often a different price, however, in the case of using a price category, it is necessary to take into account the given price category in all terms that we want to link. Although we link multiple dates, as a result, those dates should have much of the same settings, such as the way the price is charged. Time parameters such as reservation length and settings in the "When?" Section. may vary, the setting is then selected according to the day of the start of the reservation. This day will clearly determine which of the appointment settings will be applied, so any change must be carefully considered.

Rental, ...

The multiday type of term is also widely used in the case of rental shops of various kinds. If you want to offer the customer a reservation characterized by a fixed length at the level of days, you just need to correctly link the setting of two dates. The setting of both terms is to some extent very similar, so it is advisable to define a term template in advance to make the whole process faster. The settings differ only in the "When?" Section. The following example shows the setting of the term for renting an e-bike for a week, specifically from Friday (a very similar setting could be applied in the case of setting up a weekend rental). The first is to set a date only for each Friday, when the reservation can start, and then the length of the reservation is limited to 7 days.

In order to be able to make a reservation for a whole week, it is necessary to supplement the above-mentioned date with the date defined for the remaining days of the week. The time data here will remain almost identical, however it is necessary to set the period of these days so that reservations can only end here and not start. The blending of these two dates provides the customer with an offer to book a weekly e-bike rental, specifically from Friday.

In the case of a larger number of similar offers (weekly, weekend, ...), which will be implemented by separate dates, the collision monitoring setting is also used to avoid bookings at the same time. However, collisions cannot be monitored at the capacity level. If the offer should include several e-bikes, it would be necessary to create a separate source for each bike and then set up collision monitoring on a specific source.
