Intervals

The interval event type allows to define a time window within one day, which it is then divided into smaller time periods (intervals). The customer can then reserve one or more consecutive intervals (depending on the specific event setting).

Sport areal, ...

A typical example is a sports complex that offers various sports grounds for rent. In the demonstration, the user allows booking on tennis courts. The size of the interval is set to one hour as usual. There are two courts at our disposal, which we want to rent after one hour at a fixed price.

Consulting services, ...

Another example is from the area of consulting. The consultant offers his services and wants the customer to always reserve a period of time during which he/she will devote himself/herself fully to his/her problems. If the minimum booking time is set to 1 hour and the interval time is set to half an hour, the consultant will allow his customers a wider choice when making reservations. However, the event created in this way carries the risk of so-called empty half-hour windows, for which it will no longer be possible to make a reservation because they do not meet the criterion of minimum length of reservation. You can see an illustration in the following figure, where a free time cell was created in the interval 10:30 - 11:00. You will not be able to make a reservation for this time.
