Days off / holidays

The range of services provided is usually defined by periodic repetition within the term setting. During the period for which this term is defined, various situations may arise requiring the blocking of the possibility of making reservations on a given day or only for a certain period of time. This can be solved in several ways (deleting the occurrence of a date, creating a reservation with a collision), however, the most efficient and recommended way is to use the "days off / holidays" function.

Days off can be global (prevents all bookings in the given period) or can be linked to individual resources (Service, Employee, Place). Probably the most used situation is in combination with the Employee resource. Thanks to this, it is easy to block all dates belonging to a given specific employee, for example during his planned vacation, without changing the settings of the date menu in any way. Other typical scenarios include the temporary closure of an establishment for technical or other reasons, where an example can be a gym, where a set of dates is created for individual sports. Thanks to a defined day off, all these dates can be blocked for making reservations in one step.

If you want to use this function with a link to specific resources such as Employee, Location and Service, it is necessary to use them as part of planning and setting dates. If dates do not use resources of this type, but only the name, they cannot be specifically blocked using days off (only global days off can be used).

In the form for creating a new day off, it is always possible to map a maximum of one specific resource. If you need to create time off for a larger number of dates covering different basic resources, then you can use the time off days generator, where more resources can be ticked. It is also possible to use the generator in the event that the day off is repeated regularly.

Public Holidays

Days off are important, among other things, in the case of various public holidays. These days are typically dependent on the specific state, however, for certain states the reservation system allows the integration of public holidays as days off. The days off automatically created in this way can also be adjusted afterwards as needed. They can be canceled or, on the contrary, extended by another holiday, etc. Imported public holidays are set at the global level and are therefore not linked to specific sources, which means that all dates in the given period will be blocked on a given day.
